GreenXperts & Green Tick Certification Launch $NZD10 million Certified Carbon Credit Fund

25 October 2016

GreenXperts Limited, in association with sister company Green Tick Certification Limited, has launched a $NZD10 million Certified Carbon Credit Fund.

Expressions of Interest are  sought from New Zealand Unit (NZU) holders who have NZU that will qualify for certification as genuinely carbon negative NZU.

Engineering processes, projects or forest stands with a certifiable carbon negative profile are welcome to respond to the Expression of Interest.

GreenXperts may assist NZU holders to achieve certification through sister company Green Tick Certification Limited.

The objective is to provide the New Zealand carbon market with the highest quality, lowest risk certified carbon credit portfolio. This benefits buyers, because they receive an impeccable credit, and benefits sellers, because they achieve a premium value for their credits.

The partners aim is to see the top 10% of the New Zealand carbon market certified, and to offer these high quality, low risk credits to the domestic market, and in time to the international market, at premium rates.

Following the ratification of the Paris Climate Agreement, international carbon markets will reform, and our aim is to position our clients to take full advantage of the global carbon market in this next phase of international action on climate change.

Green Tick granted entry to $100 billion Green Bond market

28 November 2014

Green Tick Certification Limited (GTC) is pleased to announce that it has been granted Observer status for Green Bond activities by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), an association of leading banks, including the World Bank, corporates, and financiers worldwide.

This acceptance by ICMA means that Green Tick has now entered the $100 billion Green Bond and Green Bond project market.

Recently there has been criticism about what constitutes a "green bond", with the 'green' credentials of a number of allegedly 'green projects' under fire. GTC is able to offer the world banking industry established, independent, proven, and government-registered standards for Green Bond certification.

GTC is the only independent sustainability certification authority listed as a Green Bond Observer with ICMA, and we look forward to helping the Green Bond industry provide 'genuinely green' independently certified Green Bonds and Green Bond Projects to world markets.

Green Tick Certification Limited's (GTC) new website goes live officially on Monday 16 December 2013 NZDST.

GTC is using the most flexible and interactive website publishing software it has found, courtesy of Wix.

"We wanted the site to be much more interactive and connected seamlessly with our social media outlets," says Susan Harris, Principal Scientist.

"We are still working on the site live with our clients and advisers, and so more changes will happen.  But overall so far we have had very good feedback.  Once we finish 'live-testing' it over the holiday period, we'll settle on the new structure and approach."

Comments on the new site are welcomed by GTC, as part of the Company's efforts to make reliable and obvious environmental certification and ecolabelling services readily available globally.

Comments can be made by email or from any social media site linked to Green Tick, including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Blogger.

Green Tick Certification Limited has been invited by the University of Southern California to submit the Green Tick Register of certified products and services for listing on the University's global database of reputable ecolabels.

"This is an honour", said Green Tick's Principal Scientist Susan Harris.  "With so many fake green labels and greenwash out there, we are encouraged to see an august and well-respected authority like USC taking on this large task, and sorting out the genuine ecolabels from the false."

Green Tick's scientists are now working on updating the Green Tick Register to a form that can be loaded live on a business-to-business link direct from Green Tick to USC.
