Green Tick® Easily Meets Wal-Mart’s Sustainability Requirements

Green Tick® Certification Limited is very pleased to announce that the Green Tick® Certification system easily meets Wal-Mart’s recently announced requirements for sustainability set out in its “15 Questions for Suppliers” .

Mrs Susan Harris, Director of Green Tick, said today that Green Tick® Certification independently certifies products and services as truly sustainable if they meet Green Tick’s 12 sustainability and eight safety standards.

“Wal-Mart suppliers that are awarded Green Tick® will automatically comply with Wal-Mart’s sustainability requirements,” said Mrs Harris. “The Green Tick® standards cover all the issues identified by Wal-Mart in its’ 15 Questions for Suppliers. One of the questions asks suppliers if they have any third party certifications for products they sell to Wal-Mart . ”

“Green Tick® is the world’s only government-approved, third party sustainability certification ecolabel that has the capability to certify any product from anywhere for supply to Wal-Mart.”

For the future, Mrs Harris said that Green Tick® Certification would be maintaining close liaison with Wal-Mart, and other supermarket chains, to ensure that Green Tick® always meets, or exceeds, their requirements for environmental validation to international standards .
